Life here in Santa Monica is non-stop, hectic, chaotic and, of course, lots of fun.

In between managing my textile and design business, running the home, starring in Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorator show and raising my three boys there are not many empty or dull moments.
My own boys and Jacqueline, my housekeeper, never fail to amuse me even as they are driving me nuts. If I could just teach them all to tidy up after themselves (and that includes Jacqueline!) life would be so much less stressful at home.
But chaos is all that I know and, somehow, I thrive in it. Having had three boys in less than four years, I’ve certainly learned how to think fast on my feet.
All my life I’ve lived with an AGA cooker. I have an electric AGA in my house in France and have just replaced the model here in Santa Monica for a new AGA Total Control.
I simply love it – it’s so flexible. If my boys want a snack they can just use a hotplate without having to turn on the whole AGA. The Pistachio colour looks like it was custom made for me. Those of you who are familiar with my work know I use colour to inject life into the homes I design for clients. Pistachio is the perfect LA backdrop and it works so well with my new fabric line too.
The colour and the shape make it art, I think. It is so timeless that it’s without doubt the only must-have item in my kitchen.
Tomorrow I am on a panel discussing architecture in Cuba and I will have to refer to the AGA. Timeless is all I want to do or be as a designer and good design is the key to a well-appointed home. My AGA is synonymous with living well.
All I can say is AGA you have arrived in the US. Who wouldn’t want an AGA you can control? Also I cannot believe how much I’m saving on my electricity bill and this is only the first month. Roll on the savings.

I love the color of this range. Finally, a range for the US market!
Thank you, Lissy
