I can’t help but feel terribly sorry for the poor man from Weymouth who accidentally set fire to his flat while trying to dry his underpants and socks in a microwave.

Clearly this is a man in need of an AGA cooker. Not only would his food taste an awful lot better, but he could safely dry his laundry over the AGA to his heart’s content. Plus the AGA gets rid of any creases, making ironing much easier if it is needed at all.

An added bonus of a new AGA cooker would be his spared blushes – it won’t be much fun having half the local fire service turning up with sirens blaring each time a change of clothes is required.

I do have to say that I admire his actually doing his own laundry, though. In all the years we have been married Lord AGA has never shown any inclination to wash, dry or indeed iron his own clothes!
