Desert Island Discs is one of my favourite programmes and on Sunday it’s going to be extra special as my dear friend Mary Berry is this week’s castaway.

I can’t wait to find out what tracks she reveals to presenter Kirsty Young and also what her one luxury item will be. I’m sure it will be something very clever indeed.

Respected food writer Mary Berry has been awarded a CBE and on Sunday will be Kirsty Young’s Desert Island Discs castaway

Mary has been having rather a busy time of late – not only was she recently awarded a CBE, but she has also just been given an honorary degree by Bath Spa University.

So, whatever your plans are on Sunday morning, make sure you are tuned into Radio 4 at 11.15am as you’ll surely be in for a treat!
