While rummaging through the attic in search of the bunting, I unearthed this rather lovely cartoon. It must have been put aside by my grandmother, an ardent Royalist and a huge AGA fan.
It was in a trunk along with some vintage dresses, a sheet of instructions for curing bacon and a library book which should have been returned in 1967. I really rather dread to think of the fine that has built up.

There were also some photographs of the party that took place in the village for the Silver Jubilee and I must admit I became rather distracted looking at the dreadful clothes we were all wearing. I love the cartoon so much, that I shall be framing it and hanging it by the AGA in our kitchen.

I love this! Would you mind if I put it on my blog??
